Do you ever meet someone and just love them?
Some days the world seems so dark and everything seems… distorted and ugly. But then I thought of Jimmy, the neighbor across the yard who plays with all the neighbor kids, pushing them in the shopping cart from… where was that from? He’s always wearing shorts and a tank top. I can’t make out much of what he says but I don’t need to because who he is speaks more volumes than my life ever will.
So I think of Jimmy, and the world seems a little brighter.

The question you pose is hard to answer. I don’t think I’m capable of that. Then again I’ve always been wary about such things. I’m trying to unlearn it, but this is something deeply ingrained in me. Thanks for sharing this story. It was nice reading another post from you.

yes, I am hesitant to do that as well… but what’s so great about Jimmy is that he’s completely himself, and I don’t think there’s a mean bone in his body… and his happiness inspires me.

I’m sure you will find someone… I’ve also found a lot of times when I feel like that spending time with kids helps a lot.

Not so much for people, but I’ve met lots of lovely animals that I have immediately loved. I think of them, and they make me smile.
